Je suis née à Londres en 1965. En 1972 ma famille émigrait en Australie. Après  4 ans d’études de beaux-arts à L’université de Wollongong, NSW et trois ans de résidence et travail en atelier partagé, j’ai quitté l’Australie pour retrouver l’Europe en 1990. Un an passé en Angleterre ma vu prête a bouger. Suite à un petit voyage sur le continent, j’ai eu la chance d’avoir une invitation à descendre  dans le sud de la France. Hermine Aitken que j’ai rencontré au Portugal  ma encouragé de lui rendre visite à Forcalquier  dans les Alpes de Haute Provence. Grace à l’accueil d’Hermine je me suis installée dans cette petite ville pittoresque et pleine de caractère.  

J’ai exposé régulièrement depuis 25 ans. Mes portraits et mes nus reflètent une fascination pour la vie. Mes natures mortes, paysages et fleurs montrent une étude plus délicate d’espace et de formes liés par des nuances d’ombre et de lumière. Je suis fascinée par la vie et j’ai un respect profond pour les jeux de l’ombre et de la lumière qui en sont la chaine et la trame.

I was born in London, England on April 3^rd 1965.  With my family, I immigrated to Australia in 1972 and am now residing in the south of France. 

From 1983 to 1986 I studied at an experimental art school, modelled on the Bauhaus, in Wollongong, New South Wales.  There I was able to explore my interests in visual arts and creative writing.  I often include displays of my poetry in my exhibitions.  

In 1987 I wrote for Swamp Art Theatre Company, then, in 1990,  collaborated as librettist with composer Andrew Ford to write a short opera entitled ‘The Laughter of Mermaids’.

My paintings reflect my fascination for life and celebrate the feast of sight. My work is strongest in the domain of  portraiture and nudes, which as subject matter are bound to  give a certain existential depth. My work with still life, townscapes and floral compositions show a more delicate appreciation of light filled spaces and forms drawn together by degrees of shadow.

I returned to Europe in 1990. After spending a year in Norwich, England, I moved to the south of France. I have been living in the town of Forcalquier in Provence ever since.
